Life is never what you expect...

This time last year, I did not know that in a couple months I would meet the love of my life on a website that I thought was dumb when I signed up. Little did I know that September 13th --- Friday the 13th (we are NOT superstitious)--- I would meet him at Texas Roadhouse and hug him for the first time. That I would hear his story and that the Lord would capture my heart for him!  When I first got to the restaurant, he was waiting at the door and ohhhh so handsome.  We had dinner and ate lots of food and heard parts of each others stories and cried.  Heard parts of each others dreams and smiled.  And then the door opened to an amazing friendship.... my heart, was to marry my best friend--  not just a great guy.  After dinner, I think neither of us wanted to leave and fortunately there was an ice cream shop around the corner to prolong a departure. When I left that night, I thought, I could so easily be this man's best friend. Our hearts are aligned to love God and love people intentionally.   What a blessed lady I am that in 66 days, I have the privilege of marrying the love of my life and my best friend after waiting 32 years for the right man to spend life with...

In 3 days, Vinny & I will be venturing to Alaska. Mmmmm my heart smiles.  This will be my 5th year and 6th trip into this beautiful state that so desperately needs Jesus with over 100 villages with no consistent gospel (DYD quote).  This will be Vinny's first trip to Alaska :) and I can't wait to show him one of the many windows into my "Narnia".  He is stoked!  We'll be heading to western very remote Alaska with a team of 23. Wow, we are so very humbled. Let's do this... or as one of our team members say... #yukondoit

Five years ago, my first trip, I had no idea that 5 years later so many would want to go to camp... or that a state larger than 1/2 the United States that had no campus ministries would be launching 2 Chi Alpha's this year. One in Fairbanks and one in Anchorage. Thank you Lord for hearing the tears of my heart for my Alaskan friends, that they might be reconciled to you and discipled to impact their villages. Lord help grow them!  So pray with us as we head up on early Sunday Morning, to Anchorage, and Tuesday we'll meet up with our team. Doing training on Wednesday and heading to the village next Thursday. May this be a powerful year for relationships and dreaming for the kingdom.

When we return, we'll be preparing to get married exactly 1 year from the day we met. :) God is good!  Let's all go impact the world for Jesus! It's not about us.

Much Agape,
Vinny & Katrina

Summer is moving fast!

Can't believe it's already July! WOW! Between training/launching teams, getting ready for the Alaska expedition where we're taking 23 other folks to Western AK with us to work at Youth camp... and planning a wedding, I feel like my head is spinning faster and faster.

All great things and all part of a glorious season. I'm so grateful for the amazing people that the Lord has put into my life. So grateful. God is so good.  If you feel like your summer is escaping you, the reality is that it is... time is passing by and it just reminds us all the more how important it is to take advantage of our time with loved ones.

Please continue to pray for us, happy times are the times we even moreso miss my dad.
